Now in stock in the USA – Goodwin’s Dual Plate Chrome C5 range

Different projects call for different grades of chrome-moly steel – which is why we’ve now got Goodwin's Dual Plate Chrome C5 range in stock in the USA too, in sizes from 2” to 10” across 150#, 300# and 600#.

Where C12 is the higher-chrome option for the toughest service, C5 sits a step down with roughly 5% chromium and 0.5% molybdenum. It's a workhorse in refining and petrochemical plants that need strength at elevated temperatures. Every size in this range is built to the BSR style: lug, through-drilled, and straightforward to service.

Built to the same standard as our other dual plate ranges

Even with the lower-chrome body, the rest of the valve is built to the same standard as Goodwin’s other dual plate ranges. The plates are CA15, a 13% chrome stainless that holds its own against wear and corrosion. The seats are FHF hardfaced for a reliable metal-to-metal seal, and the springs are Inconel X-750.

PMI, radiographic testing and magnetic particle examination are carried out on every valve as standard, so what arrives matches exactly what was specified – no surprises, no chasing paperwork afterwards.
